ابزاري سودمند به نام “COLLOCATION”

اهميت كاربرد كالوكيشن هاي درست و مناسب به حدي است كه ميتواند گاهي تا يك نمره افزايش در نمره كل رايتينگ شما داشته باشد. موضوعي به ظاهر ساده اما بسيار مهم و ظريف كه در اين نوشته بصورت خلاصه و مفيد به آن خواهيم پرداخت.

تعريف لغت كالوكيشن در ديكشنري چنين است:

Collocation (noun):
The habitual juxtaposition of a particular word with another word or words with a frequency greater than chance.

اين همنشيني كلمات ميتواند بار معنايي نوشته شما را تا حد زيادي بهبود بخشد و به خواننده يا همان ممتحن رايتينگ اين امكان را بدهد كه وي بتواند با متن شما ارتباط درستي را بر قرار كند.

برخي به غلط تصور ميكنند كه كالوكيشن ها ليستي از لغات دشوار و عجيب غريب هستند كه بخاطر سپردن آنها و استفاده ي درست و بجا از اين كلمات بسيار سخت وغيرعملي است. اما من ميخواهم با مثالي ساده مفهوم درست كالوكيشن را توضيح دهم. مثلا در زبان فارسي شما همواره از عبارت “زن و شوهر” استفاده ميكنيد و چنانچه كسي از عبارت “شوهرو زن” استفاده كند براي شما نامانوس و غير طبيعي بنظر ميرسد. پس عبارت اول كه آشنا و مصطلح است را “كالوكيشن” مي نامند.

همانطوركه ديديد لزوما كالوكيشن ها لغات سخت نيستند بلكه كاربردهاي درست و طبيعي كلمات در كنار هم هستند. جمله انگليسي زير را در نظر بگيريد:

They all are completely interested in football.

جمله به ظاهر كاملا درست است و ايرادي ندارد. اما نكته اينجاست كه قيد completely با صفت interested هم نشين يا به اصطلاح “كالوكيت” نميشود. به همين سادگي شما نمره بسيار باارزش و در عين حال نه چندان دشوار “كالوكيشن” را از دست ميدهيد.
